About
LibertarianSavvy was started by a lifelong libertarian, one of the remnant who remembers when libertarians were scarce. Now there are many thousands all over the world, adding new interpretations of libertarian philosophy. Newcomers can be challenged to make orderly sense of the diverse freedom movement, especially since mainstream pundits — ignorant or partisan — often get our ideas entirely wrong. But it’s even a challenge for old timers to keep current with the fast-growing movement.
It’s been said that trying to organize libertarians is like herding cats: just not going to happen. LibertarianSavvy is a guide to the full spectrum of libertarian activists and theorists, and their rich and exciting literature of ideas.
The one idea that unites all libertarians is the NonAggression Principle (some call it the NonAggression Axiom, some call it the ZeroAggression Principle — NAP, ZAP, whatever name is used — it means no aggression against peaceful people, ever. ) That’s the core concept to understand. The rest is all about how to transform a world of coercive, authoritarian rule to one that is peaceful and free. We hope you’ll join us.
