George Orwell’s classic 1984 vision is our reality. The US major media is fluent in Newspeak: War is Peace; Slavery is Freedom; Ignorance is Strength. Twenty-three year old Bradley Manning is our Winston who saw through the deception and wrestled with his quest to tell the truth, and his apprehension of the risk to his own life in doing so.
Now going on 11 straight months of Manning’s imprisonment and torture, we may never know if he actually leaked official documents showing widespread military corruption. The aim of torture is to break will power, so any “confession” desired can be obtained even if entirely false.
Those who support truth told to the public about the conduct of officials, and the presumption of innocence until guilt is proven, are working to stop the government’s torture of Bradley Manning. The support website is HERE. Further LibertarianSavvy posts on Manning: LibertyArt page and Heroes page.

These are both impressive works of art, in every sense of the word. Well done!
